Chilliwack, British Columbia, May 16, 2012 – Canada's Economic Action Plan is helping a British Columbia fish and animal feed manufacturer hire more workers and buy more agricultural produce to grow its business. Member of Parliament Mark Strahl (Chilliwack—Fraser Canyon), on behalf of Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz, announced the investment of $175,000 to Taplow Ventures Ltd. toward the purchase and installation of a new dryer at its processing facility.

The 2012–2013 call for proposals for community-based projects under the New Horizons for Seniors Program launched on May 8, 2012 for all provinces and territories.

On May 2, conservatives across the country celebrated the one year anniversary of the election of a "strong, stable, national, majority, Conservative government." Those who followed the 2011 campaign closely will know that this line was repeated each and every day of the campaign by the Prime Minister and all Conservative candidates, including myself.
