The Harper Government is providing funding of $295,000 to two local organizations for projects that will prevent and combat homelessness in Prince Albert. Strahl highlights new measures to protect Canadians from terrorism


Ottawa- Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP, Mark Strahl today highlighted proposed new measures contained in the Anti-terrorism Act, 2015 that will provide law enforcement agencies with additional tools and flexibility to keep pace with evolving threats and better protect Canadians here at home.

Local students invited to submit designs for Canada 150 Logo


Chilliwack- Mark Strahl, MP for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon is encouraging area post-secondary students over the age of 18 to take part in the Canada 150 Logo Design Contest.

"This is an opportunity for a young aspiring graphic designer to be part of Canadian history by designing a national logo that celebrates our country's 150th birthday," said Strahl.

Strahl highlights new measures to improve pipeline safety


Ottawa- Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP, Mark Strahl today highlighted proposed enhancements to Canada's world-class pipeline safety system announced by the Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Greg Rickford.

"Natural resource projects will not proceed unless they can be demonstrated to be safe for Canadians and for the environment," said Strahl. "The proposed changes the minister has announced will take an incredibly reliable and safe system and make it even better."
