LONG GUN REGISTRY GONE FOR GOOD

When I stood in the House of Commons to cast my vote to put an end to the wasteful, ineffective long gun registry, I did so on behalf of my constituents, and also for the many people who have fought against it since its inception in 1995. But in my mind there were two people, Gary and Garry, who deserved to see the registry ended the most.

BILL TO SCRAP LONG-GUN REGISTRY PASSES THE HOUSE OF COMMONS

Ottawa- Tonight the House of Commons passed Bill C-19: Ending the Long Gun Registry Act by a vote of 159-130. The bill will now be sent to the Senate moving the Conservative Government one step closer to delivering on a campaign promise to end the long-gun registry.
