The Honourable Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs, today paid tribute to the Royal Canadian Air Force Association (RCAFA) at its annual meeting in Ottawa. The Minister thanked the Association for its outstanding contributions to Veterans, and reaffirmed the Government of Canada's commitment to strengthen support for Veterans and their families by cutting red tape and introducing new supports for those Veterans who are the most seriously injured, including support for their families.

Chilliwack- The Conservative Government is going to double the Child Fitness Tax Credit (CFTC) and make it refundable delivering on a promise made to parents said Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP, Mark Strahl.

New common sense firearms measures


Ottawa- Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP Mark Strahl highlighted the Common Sense Firearms Act which was tabled in the House of Commons on October 7.

"Our Government has always stood up for law-abiding hunters, farmers and sport-shooters. This legislation will simplify and provide clarity to the firearms regime and reduce administrative burdens for law abiding firearms owners while protecting the safety of Canadians," said Strahl.

Calling all Veterans of the Second World War


Chilliwack- To mark the 75th anniversary of Canada's engagement in World War II, a limited- edition commemorative lapel pin and certificate has been created to honour living World War II Veterans.

Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP Mark Strahl is asking people who know a World War II Veteran living in Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon to contact his office so that he can recognize them.
