December 22, 2014 - Caledon, Ontario The Government of Canada has partnered with the Halton-Peel Woodlands and Wildlife Stewardship to undertake tree planting improvements along Caledon Creek. Member of Parliament, David Tilson, on behalf of the Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, highlighted today the federal government's investment in the Caledon Creek tree-planting program. Through the Recreational Fisheries Conservation Partnerships Program (RFCPP), the Halton-Peel Woodlands and Wildlife Stewardship will receive up to $5,500 to support the conservation of fish habitat in Caledon.

Strahl highlights new measures to improve pipeline safety


Ottawa- Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP, Mark Strahl today highlighted proposed enhancements to Canada's world-class pipeline safety system announced by the Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Greg Rickford.

"Natural resource projects will not proceed unless they can be demonstrated to be safe for Canadians and for the environment," said Strahl. "The proposed changes the minister has announced will take an incredibly reliable and safe system and make it even better."

Strahl Commends Further Action on Veterans’ Mental Health


Ottawa – Member of Parliament for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon, Mark Strahl, is pleased to see new action on mental health support for Canadian Armed Forces personnel, Veterans, and their families.

"Our Government has consistently increased support for our men and women who serve or served our country," Strahl stated in a press release. "We have continued that by increasing mental health support for those in the Canadian Armed Forces, veterans, and their families."
