Ottawa- Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP, Mark Strahl highlighted today's announcement that would see the annual income of a part-time injured reservists receiving the Earnings Loss Benefit rise from $24,300 to a minimum of $42,300.

"Our Government is committed to ensuring that all Veterans and their families are treated with care and compassion," said Strahl.

Strahl applauds proposed new lifetime benefit for Veterans

Ottawa- Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP, Mark Strahl applauded an announcement by the Honourable Erin O'Toole, Minister of Veterans Affairs to create a new lifetime benefit for Veterans. The Retirement Income Security Benefit (RISB) would provide a monthly income support payment for moderately to severely disabled Veterans after the age of 65.

Today, Mark Strahl, Member of Parliament for Chilliwack – Fraser Canyon, on behalf of the Honourable Steven Blaney, Canada's Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, announced $1.85 million in federal funding for the crime prevention project Learning to Lead, which will help nearly 200 at-risk youth in Chilliwack, British Columbia.
