“Mr. Speaker, I rise in the House today to highlight an important event taking place in my riding: Chilliwack's first ever food mob.
Ottawa – Member of Parliament for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon, Mark Strahl, is pleased to see new action on mental health support for Canadian Armed Forces personnel, Veterans, and their families.
"Our Government has consistently increased support for our men and women who serve or served our country," Strahl stated in a press release. "We have continued that by increasing mental health support for those in the Canadian Armed Forces, veterans, and their families."

"Mr. Speaker, on October 27, 2011, Chilliwack resident, Shawn Nagurny, along with five others, saved six people from a burning aircraft that had crash landed on a highway in Richmond British Columbia.
Ottawa- Mark Strahl, MP for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon highlighted a number of new tax relief measures to help make life more affordable for Canadian families with children starting in the spring of 2015.
"Our Government is keeping our commitment to help Canadian families with additional tax relief measures once we have balanced the budget." Strahl added, "With the federal budget expected to be in balance soon we are taking action to help low and middle-income families."
Chilliwack- On behalf of the Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, Mark Strahl MP for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon is encouraging local groups to make application for funding under the fourth phase of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) Recreational Fisheries Conservation Partnerships Program (RFCPP).

I started last week in Ottawa by joining His Excellency Governor General David Johnston at Rideau Hall as he honoured a number of Canadians, including Chilliwack resident Shawn Nagurny, for acts of bravery. It was a poignant ceremony, where the Governor General spoke of these "wrong way guys and wrong way gals" who had turned toward danger, rather than away from it and put themselves at risk to save their fellow Canadians.
