Strahl salutes all Veterans on 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands

Ottawa- Member of Parliament for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon, Mark Strahl saluted all Canadian Armed Forces personnel, past and present, on the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands.

Visually impaired to gain new access to printed material

Marrakesh.jpgOttawa- Mark Strahl, MP for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon highlighted Industry Minister James Moore's announcement that Canada will join the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Person Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired, or Otherwise Print Disabled.

"Improving access to printed material will open new worlds of opportunities to learn, work and participate more fully in society for those suffering from a print disability," said Strahl.

New case managers to enhance one-on-one support for Veterans

Chilliwack- Mark Strahl, MP for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon praised Minister of Veterans Affairs, the Honourable Erin O'Toole's announcement to hire more than 100 new permanent case managers to provide improved one-on-one service for Veterans.

"Case managers will be able to dedicate more time and attention to the individual needs of each Veteran ensuring that they and their families receive the support and services they need when they need them," said Strahl.

New tax-free benefit for critically injured Veterans

Ottawa- A proposed new Critical Injury Benefit (CIB) which would provide a $70,000 tax-free award to support the most severely injured and ill Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members and Veterans was applauded today by Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP, Mark Strahl.
