Chilliwack- Mark Strahl, MP for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon praised Minister of Veterans Affairs, the Honourable Erin O'Toole's announcement to hire more than 100 new permanent case managers to provide improved one-on-one service for Veterans.
"Case managers will be able to dedicate more time and attention to the individual needs of each Veteran ensuring that they and their families receive the support and services they need when they need them," said Strahl.
Ottawa- A proposed new Critical Injury Benefit (CIB) which would provide a $70,000 tax-free award to support the most severely injured and ill Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members and Veterans was applauded today by Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP, Mark Strahl.
Chilliwack- Mark Strahl, MP for Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon highlighted two new initiatives to help seriously injured Veterans and their informal caregivers.
"I applaud Minister O'Toole for his continued efforts to address the pressing needs of our injured Veterans and their families," said Strahl.
Ottawa- Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP, Mark Strahl highlighted today's announcement that would see the annual income of a part-time injured reservists receiving the Earnings Loss Benefit rise from $24,300 to a minimum of $42,300.
"Our Government is committed to ensuring that all Veterans and their families are treated with care and compassion," said Strahl.
Ottawa- Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP, Mark Strahl applauded an announcement by the Honourable Erin O'Toole, Minister of Veterans Affairs to create a new lifetime benefit for Veterans. The Retirement Income Security Benefit (RISB) would provide a monthly income support payment for moderately to severely disabled Veterans after the age of 65.
