August 29, 2013 – Today, the Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Mark Strahl, Member of Parliament for Chilliwack–Fraser Canyon congratulated IMW on a long term agreement with China Gas Holdings (CGH). This transaction was facilitated through the signing of a $250 million financing agreement between Export Development Canada (EDC) and CGH.

Mark Strahl to Seek Re-Election in Chilliwack—Hope Riding


Chilliwack – Local Conservative MP Mark Strahl will be seeking re-election in the riding of Chilliwack—Hope in the next federal election.

The Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for British Columbia released their final report and maps on August 21st.  The report adjusts riding boundaries because of population changes and will add six new federal seats to British Columbia’s total at the next election as a result of the Conservative government’s Fair Representation Act.

Ottawa- A new CRTC wireless code of conduct that addresses the length of wireless contracts, cancellation fees, roaming charges and other practices has the approval of Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon MP Mark Strahl.

Canada Summer Jobs Initiative puts students to work
