Yesterday the Prime Minister accused low-income Canadians of paying no taxes, but what about him? He inherited a multimillion dollar family fortune in the form of a tax-preferred trust fund from his father. Le Journal de Montréal wrote this: “For more than 15 years the funds from the trust have grown off the balance sheet of the Prime Minister and his brother without affecting their taxable income”.
